Treat Yo Self

Seen this? I hadnt until my good friend Lynnsee Boo Boo opened my eyes to Treat Yo Self. After watching this (multiple times) we got inspired to treat ourselves as well. We are the girls who buy out of desperation until a wise, fashionable, red head told us to shop with a theme in mind of who you want to be, have an outfit in mind instead of shopping aimlessly. By doing this, you wont look at your closet with the thought in mind "Im bored of my clothes." So here is what will go down once a month:
A. We find ourselves an inspiration photo of an outfit we adore, mine being this one:

B. We then take our inspiration photo and go on the hunt to try
and match our inspiration outfit to the best of our abilities.
C. Document it.

HOW FUN!? I know I am pretty excited too. Now dont let my multi-photo inspiration picture fool you, Im not trying to buy a new wardrobe. That is not was Treat Yo Self is about, I just like to have options and be prepared. Stop back by to see if Treat Yo Self 2012 March Edition was a success or a bust.

Overly Obsessed

It is a dangerous thing to be obsessed with an online clothing store. Tobi is like a more grown up version of F21. Its a mixture of small higher priced boutiquey brands and some unknown slightly less expensive brands. Oh and they seem like they are having a sale everyday. Take it from me and save yourself. Dont get on their mailing list if you like your credit score.

Fancy Food Photos

My good friend/ roommate works for the 1% (if you get what I am saying) and she treated us to a fine dining experience which consisted of drinks, gossip, and $300 worth of sushi in our bellies.

Surf Diary, Entry One

So the day has finally come! A long time dream of mine finally came true, I am learning to surf! Sunday morning was my first session. It started out with Brian teaching me some technical terms with the mexican blanket subbing as our ocean.

Then we did some practicing on my pop ups. Amanda was estatic when I popped up with my right foot yelling "YAY She is a goofy like me!"

We packed up the car and headed down to SanO's and found a spot where the surf looked like good conditions for a newbie like me. By the way, wet suits suck! I mean their purpose is something I am extremely grateful for but man are they a pain to put on and take off. Luckily I was wearing the Solmar Bikini top from Seea. Its a bikini made for surfing. You might find yourself asking, Siera, just how is it made for surfing? LET ME TELL YOU! the neck strap is never ending, which means no bunchy ties and no irritation while wearing your wetsuit! Because believe me, those things aren't something you love to wear.

Anyways, we finally got into the ice cold water and I started paddling and quickly figured out, I have NO upper body strength. I caught two waves but I felt like I had been out there for hours and hours. After getting out and taking in some much needed sun, all I could think about is next time. Thats right, I am addicted.

The boys over at FOODBEAST put on this amazing little shindig called "FoodScape". Now I am about a week behind on posting about this but I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to blog about how impressed I was by it. It was a great night filled with food, friends, art and even a couple of drinks to end the night. Another Californian night that made me so glad I live the life that I do.
